The story of Helu Wood began in 2019, inside the humble confines of a small garden shed. That original space was where I first turned a growing hobby into a real business, crafting those early cat bowl holders and wooden chests. While the space was small, it was the perfect environment to learn the trade and develop my signature style.

Today, I have moved into a much larger, dedicated workshop. While the tools have upgraded and the projects have become more ambitious, that initial passion from the garden shed remains the heart of everything I do. It’s a constant reminder of how far your support has allowed me to come.

The Meaning of "Helu"

Helu Wood is more than just a brand; it is a partnership. The name is a nod to the two people behind this dream: a combination of Hudson and Gelu. My partner has been an unwavering source of support, playing a vital role in helping me transition from a 20-year career in factory shifts to a life of full-time independent craft. This name is my way of honoring that journey we’ve taken together.
